public class LGFontChooser
extends javax.swing.JPanel

LGFontChooser is a widget presenting a choice of fonts. This includes choosing the font face, the font size, the font style and optionaly the font colour. Therefore it has a few subwidgets.

• a drop down menu to choose the font face
• a drop down menu to choose font style (italic, bold, both, normal)
• a widget to choose the font size
• a drop down menu to choose the font colour (NB: this may or may not be visible depending on the parameters you use in the constructor)

This object then got various method to interact with this infomration

public LGFontChooser(boolean withcolour)

This is the only constructor, the default constructor is not to be used as all subwidgets would not be initialized

Parameters:

withcolour - a boolean to choose whether or not to allow a choice of colours

addListeners

public void addListeners(javax.swing.event.ChangeListener change,

Add a listener for a change in the drop down menus and one listener for handling change in the size widget. This can be the same physical object

Parameters:

change - an object implementing the ChangeListener interface

item - an object implementing the ItemListener interface

getChosenFont

This method creates and returns a font object representing the different choices in the different subwidgets. A Font object contains the face, style and size information.

Returns:

A Font object with the chosen face, style and size.
