I have installed yesterday evening CCP4MG from your website _ I have checked how to display pdb file, seemed to be working fine. All files are in C:\Program Files\CCP4MG and I have a shortcut on the desktop to start it. Today I proceed to install ccp4-5.0.2.2 for Windows. I have gotten it from your server and started setup.exe When asked for Tcl and BTL etc I asked to install them (I have noticed that some listed are previous version than what was installed under ccp4mg and I could not find some files - so I decided I'd better install them again in this directory). When asked for top directory for ccp4 I mistakenly unswered C:\Program Files without any additional folder name. Stupidly, I guess, I dragged everything that was created today at that time to the TRASH (ccp4i, Tcl, etc, documents) and DELETED them. I started setup.exe again - it goes to REPAIR or UNISTALL, I tried UNISTALL, waited 20 minutes and cancelled I tried REPAIR waited 20 minutes and cancelled I deleted setup.exe and started anew from your server putting setup.exe this time in C:\Program Files\ccp4 It doesn't matter, it still comes to that menu with 3 choices instead of doing installation. I am obviously doing it wrong. Please give me advise/tip how to get out of it so I can do it again and right this time. I am pretty sure your software is idiot-proof (well...obviously I excelled in that) and I am not the only one doing stupid mistakes. But maybe for such idiots you should put a warning "IF YOU MAKE A MISTAKE RUN setup.exe to UNISTALL PROGRAM PROPERLY before you try another installation. Does one need Tcl in both ccp4mg and ccp4-5.0.2.2? if not which one should I keep?
