A POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP position is available in the group of Prof. Francis Tsai at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. The Tsai lab uses X-ray crystallography and single-particle cryoEM to determine 3D structures of protein machines to provide new structural and mechanistic insights (PNAS, 2016; Cell Rep.2019; J. Mol. Biol., 2019; eLife2020). Applicants must be highly-motivated and possess demonstrated experience with methods used to express and purify proteins. Prior experience in enzymology or working with model organisms (bacteria, yeast, worms, etc.) is an advantage. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills and have a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or any other relevant field. Salary is commensurate with experience and pegged to the current NIH scale.
