[ccp4bb] Cryo-EM postdoc position in Shanghai



Shanghai Institute of Plant Physiology and Ecology (SIPPE) is a top plant research institute in China and internationally competitive. SIPPE focuses on plant genetics, development, physiology, and plant-environment interactions to answer important questions in both basic science and applied research. SIPPE is located at the downtown area in Shanghai, convenient for life and international travels.

Dr. Li Wan obtained his PhD in structure biology in Australia and worked as a postdoc in plant pathology for nearly five years in USA. He just started his research group at SIPPE. The research group will use a combination of tools including plant genetics and molecular biology, and biochemistry and structure biology to investigate the molecular mechanisms governing plant immunity. We are now trying to recruit 1-2 postdoc in structure biology. The new lab is well funded and will provide internationally competitive salary for qualified candidates. Expected qualifications for the postdoc positions include:

1, PhD in biology or physics
2, Research experiences using Cryo-EM as the main tool. Expertise in grid preparation, microscope operation and data processing is essential. 
3, Fluent in English or Chinese
4, Knowledge in insect cell _expression_ or X-ray crystallography is a bonus but not necessary.
