[ccp4bb] Cryo-FIB/SEM & Cryo-ET postdoctoral positions in New York, $60 - 80K per year

The Fitzpatrick lab at Columbia's Zuckerman Institute has multiple openings for postdoctoral research associates to lead projects combining serial-section electron microscopy, correlative light/electron microscopy, advanced cryo-focused ion beam specimen preparations, cryo-electron tomography and 3D processing/subtomogram averaging of neurons, glia, and human brain tissue.

 

Members of the lab will have guaranteed access to a state-of-the-art suite of electron microscopes and computing resources:

• Aquilos cryo-FIB/SEM microscope, Leica cryo-correlative fluorescence light microscope, Zeiss LSM800 cryo-confocal with AiryScan detector (cryo-CLEM)

• Nova Nano SEM, Zeiss LSM800 confocal with AiryScan detector (CLEM)

• Titan Krios microscope(s) with Gatan BioQuantum energy filter, K3 Summit direct electron detector, Volta phase plate, 64 NVIDIA RTX 2080Ti GPU cluster (cryo-ET)

We are looking for outstanding scientists who have a strong background in biophysics, biochemistry, cell biology, or neuroscience. Salary is $60K-80K per year, depending on experience.
