A PhD position in biophysics with secure funding is open at the
Institute for Structural Biology, Grenoble, France. Fluorescent proteins to boost single-particle tracking super-resolution microscopy. Application deadline is March 1st, 2020 ! The recruited student will investigate the photophysical behaviour of fluorescent proteins in the context of single-particle-tracking photoactivated localization microscopy (sptPALM). The goal will be to engineer enhanced variants to improve the quality of sptPALM data. The results will be applied to several biological projects. Candidates should have a strong background in biophysics and/or structural biology. Preliminary experience in advanced optical microscopy, protein crystallography, biochemistry or molecular biology will be key advantages. Applications are now open. Please send a CV, a motivation letter and at least one reference letter to Dominique Bourgeois (dominique.bourgeois@ibs.fr), before March 1st, 2020. -- Dominique BOURGEOIS ************************************************************** Equipe PIXEL Groupe DYNAMOP Institut de Biologie Structurale J-P.
