[ccp4bb] Research Associate position in structure-based Antibody Engineering group

We have an opportunity for a highly motivated Research Associate/Senior Research Associate to join Ohana Biosciences.

 

At Ohana Biosciences, we are pioneering a new frontier in reproductive medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for _expression_, purification, characterization, and crystallization of antibody:antigen complexes for structure determination. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for the biophysical characterization of antibody targets using techniques such as SPR/BLI, DLS, and DSF. The candidate will evaluate cutting-edge new platform technology and be on the forefront of antibody discovery and engineering. The candidate will be expected to work on a variety of protein engineering projects to optimize and generate antibody leads for Ohana’s therapeutic and fertility programs.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (biochemistry, biophysics, molecular and cell biology, or similar field)
  • Experience with bacteria and/or mammalian culture
  • Previous use of manual and automated purification instrumentation
  • Proficiency in biochemical techniques such as SDS-PAGE, Western blot, and ELISA
  • Experience with binding techniques (SPR, Octet etc.), protein stability assays, display technologies, or crystallography Eagerness to learn new techniques, and comfort asking questions and seeking clarity
  • Collaborative attitude with a strong work ethic and self-motivation
