To power the system up from cold, first boot up the front end server. Once the front end is up and you can login, then power up the compute nodes. Ensure that the isolation rocker switch at the back of each compute node is set to on, that the wall power supply is on and then push the soft power switch at on the front panel of each compute node. A set of LED indicators on the front panel of each node indicate the temperature status, hard disk, network and power. If the temperature overheat indicator lights up (red) please power off the unit immediately and call for maintenance. If your system has SCSI hard disks then the bootup time can take 1-2 minutes.
