INFORMATION BULLETIN


The meeting will be held entirely at the University of Reading commencing at 11.00 hours on Friday 9 January, and close at approximately 16.00 on Saturday 10 January. Details of the programme will be announced later.

1. Attendance and Financial Arrangements

If you wish to attend, please complete and return the enclosed application form as soon as possible and no later than Friday 14 November 1997.

FEE: The Conference fee is 50ukp excluding accommodation. All meals will be provided during the meeting, including a dinner which will be held on Friday 9 January at the University.

2. Sponsorship

Funding is available through CCP4 to cover registration and one night's accommodation. In addition limited funds will be made available to help pay travel costs for students and young post-docs from European Laboratories. Please enclose a separate letter to justify applications for travel costs including expected cost of travel in pounds sterling. Delegates are expected to travel by the most economic means possible. Candidates from less favoured regions will be given preference. Note that all sponsorship will only be available to students and post-doctoral fellows/research assistants. 3. Accommodation

Accommodation at the University is in single study bedrooms at a cost of 25 ukp per night including VAT.

Accommodation is available for the nights of Thursday 8 January and Friday 9 January. Further nights may be available on request.

Any changes to accommodation must be made well in advance of the meeting by post or fax. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times whilst on campus. If you wish to stay in hotels in Reading, you should make your own hotel bookings and you are urged to make reservations as early as possible. Details of local hotels are available from the Reading Tourist Information Bureau (Tel. 0118 956 6226).

4. Office Facilities

There will be an information desk at the meeting. There will be NO banking or currency exchange facilities. Postal arrangements will be limited to a mail delivery and pick-up service. There will be a restricted photocopying facility.
