[ccp4bb] Structural (mechano)Biology Postdoc position at University of Kent

Dear all,

Please see below the advert for a postdoc position on behalf of Dr. Ben Goult:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear all

Come and work on talin mechanobiology!

Exciting new project in collaboration between the Goult Lab (University of Kent) and the Brown lab (University of Cambridge). We have 2 BBSRC funded postdoc positions looking at harnessing protein unfolding and aggregation in mechanotransduction .

One position is for a structural biologist/biochemist with expertise in NMR or X-Ray at the University of Kent.

https://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/BPR871/postdoctoral-research-associate

and a second position at the University of Cambridge with Prof Nick Brown using drosophila genetics

https://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/BPS697/research-assistant-associate-harnessing-protein-unfolding-and-aggregation-in-mechanotransduction

For more information on talins role as a mechanosensitive signalling hub see our recent perspective article: http://jcb.rupress.org/content/217/11/3776/tab-article-info

Best wishes

Ben
